Using scripts to analyze the results of mailings and campaigns

Create campaigns from existing messages

To create a campaign that includes existing dispatches, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Reports menu > Campaigns.
  2. Select the dispatches you want to merge, and drag one over the other when the color of the dispatch turns green.
  3. To give the campaign a name, double-click on its current name, enter a new name, and then click OK.

Create a campaign when scheduling a shipment

You can also create a campaign when planning a new shipment by following the steps below:

  1. At the bottom of the shipping planning page, there is a Campaigns section.
  2. Check the “Add shipment to campaign” option.
  3. Select the option “to a new” or “to an existing” campaign.
  4. If you choose the “to new” option, enter the name of the campaign in the “Campaign name” field.
  5. If you choose the “to existing” option, select the campaign to which you want to add the shipment.

Use of advanced filters

To make a dispatch based on the results of a specific email campaign, you can create an advanced filter based on SAREscript. Follow the steps below:

  1. Check the “Use SAREscript” option in the third shipping step.
  2. Click “Add new advanced filter”.
  3. Select the appropriate script from the list of available scripts.

Selection of addresses that opened the message in a given campaign

To select the addresses of people who opened the message in a particular campaign, do the following:

  1. Select the “Campaign Results” script.
  2. Click the second tab – “Open.”
  3. Specify the relevant parameters, such as the campaign to which the filter applies.

Selection of addresses that clicked on links in a given campaign

To select the addresses of people who clicked on links in a specific campaign, do the following:

  1. Select the “Campaign Results” script.
  2. Click the third tab – “Clicked.”
  3. Specify the relevant parameters, such as the campaign to which the filter applies.

Other capabilities of advanced filters

Based on the described filters, you can also create filters corresponding to opposite events. Simply change the “Yes” option to “No” to select addresses that have not performed the given action.

To select the addresses of people who clicked on links in a particular message, do the following:

  1. Select the third tab – “Clicked.”
  2. Specify the relevant parameters, such as the message to which the filter applies.

Selection of addresses that opened a given message

To select the addresses of people who have opened specific messages, do the following:

  1. Select the “Shipping Results” script.
  2. Click the second tab – “Open.”
  3. Specify the relevant parameters, such as the name of the message to which the filter applies.

With the above information in mind, you can use various SAREscript scripts and filters to analyze the results of your mailings and email campaigns and select the right audience groups.
