Create dynamic content with SAREscript

Dynamic content is a powerful tool that allows you to tailor the content and graphics of your message to individual subscriber characteristics. Thanks to it, one message can contain different content aimed at different audiences, e.g. women and men receive a message about the same product, but presented in a different way. Below we describe how to achieve this using SAREscript.

Preparing to work with SAREscript

Before we start working on scripts, it is necessary to import into the system a database containing a description of the features used. In this way, we can create content perfectly tailored to the needs of our clients.

Drag and Drop Editor

In the Drag and Drop editor, we have two ways to place SAREscript.

SAREscript in the text

  1. Start by selecting the word or phrase you want to dynamically change, or place the cursor in the text where you want to add dynamic content.
  2. A pop-up editor will appear above the text, where you need to find the {;} icon.
  3. After clicking on the icon, a window will appear where we can see the selected word or phrase. Remove it from this box.
  4. Then select “Dynamic content” from the drop-down menu on the right.
  5. In the new window, expand the available list and select the feature whose values have been imported into the database.
  6. In the “value” field we enter the value of the feature from the database, and in the “content” field we enter the content that should be displayed.
  7. After filling in all the data, click “Insert”. The script will be automatically placed in the frame, click “Save”.
  8. In the selected place in the message, the [<>] icon will appear, under which the corresponding script is placed.

SAREscript as a separate field

  1. If you want to add dynamic content to the body of the email, go to the menu on the right and click on the “Content” tab.
  2. In this tab you will find the “SAREscript” module. Drag it to the appropriate place in the creative and click on it.
  3. A window will appear with a sample SAREscript “print(“Hello world!”);”, which should be removed.
  4. As in the previous case, select “Dynamic Content” from the drop-down menu on the right.
  5. Expand the available list and select the feature whose values have been imported into the database.
  6. In the “value” field we enter the value of the feature from the database, and in the “content” field we enter the content that should be displayed.
  7. After filling in all the data, click “Insert”. The script will be automatically placed in the frame, click “Save”.
  8. In the selected place in the message, a gray box will appear with the words “<> SAREscript”, under which the corresponding script is located.

Standard editor

  1. If you want to add dynamic content to the body of the email, open the message you are editing and click on the second icon in the toolbar ”
  2. Select “Dynamic content” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Expand the available list and select the feature whose values have been imported into the database.
  4. In the “value” field we enter the value of the feature from the database, and in the “content” field we enter the content that should be displayed.
  5. After filling in all the data, click “OK”. The script will be automatically placed in the frame, click “Insert”.
  6. In the selected place in the message, an anchor icon will appear, under which is the corresponding script.

Thanks to dynamic content, each email message can receive individualized content, tailored to the preferences of each recipient. This is an extremely effective tool for personalizing communications and increasing the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
