Dynamic Reports: Features and Benefits
When using our platform, we are constantly looking for ways to maximize the benefits for you, our customer. That’s why we want to introduce you to one of our leading modules – Dynamic Reports.
What are Dynamic Reports?
Dynamic Reports is a powerful tool that gives you the ability to define and create reports on your email campaigns yourself. Importantly, these reports are generated on the fly, which means you always get the freshest data, without having to search through archived data.
You can see exactly what’s important to you – the report includes only the data you indicated when you created it. You can focus on standard metrics such as OR (Open Rate) or CTR (Click Through Rate), but if you are more advanced, you also have the option to include advanced calculations in the report.
Your vision, your data, your report
We provide you with full control over the appearance of your report – from the color scheme to the design theme to the data that is completed using SAREscript, our proprietary scripting language. Defining the report is done with HTML code, which gives you full freedom and flexibility in shaping its structure.
Creating a new report – step by step
Creating a new report is simple and intuitive. The first step is to activate the “SAREscript” functionality. Then you enter the “Dynamic Reports” module, where you can manage existing reports or create a new one.
After clicking on the Create Report button, the HTML editor, our tool for creating dynamic reports, will open. A Dynamic Report consists of several key elements:
- Message description – information visible only to you, will help you understand what the report contains
- Title/Theme of the report – the name of the report that will be visible in the system
- Message content – HTML – the part of the module where you create a message using the HTML editor
- Save button – used to save your report
You create the main part of the report using an HTML editor. It is best to build the structure of the document on tables, just like newsletters, and then insert more SAREscript to complete the report data.
To add a script from the editor menu, you select the SAREscript icon. In the new window, you enter the script that generates the relevant data in the report. A detailed description and examples of script usage are available at [link do dokumentacji].
Save and run your report
After preparing the report, you save it using the Save button. If the saving process was successful, you will see a message informing you of the saving and a button that redirects you to the Dynamic Reports page. There you can run the report you prepared.
When you click on the name of the report, you will see a template – a skeleton in which SAREscript completes the data from the dispatches. To run the report, you select the Run option on the right side of the page (in the line with the report name). The report will be generated after you define the parameters and click on the selected format (HTML).
Remember that you have the possibility to edit the developed report – just select Edit. However, if you decide that a particular report is no longer needed, you can delete it from the system – just click on Delete.
