PrestaShop integration with SARE: How does it work?
As part of streamlining interactions with our system, SARE offers the ability to seamlessly synchronize the customer and subscriber base with the PrestaShop platform. The main purpose of this solution is to save your time and automate processes.
Benefits of Integration
This integration allows you to effectively exchange information between your store and the SARE system. After setting up the system once, your customer data will not only be transferred to SARE, but also updated regularly. With SAREsystem, consent management is now easier than ever before.
Here’s what events are handled:
- Newsletter subscription
- Opting out of the newsletter
- Creation of an account by a shopper
- Update of data by the store’s customer
- Deletion of the store’s customer account
Installation Process
The installation process is simple and hassle-free. After accessing the PrestaShop panel, follow these steps:
- Go to Modules → Module Manager.
- Install the file by clicking on Load Module. (For login and password, contact us at cs@sare.pl).
- Upload the downloaded file.
Once the file has been successfully uploaded, you will be notified with an appropriate message.
Application Configuration
Finalize the installation by clicking on the button: configure. At this stage, you will need to provide some key information:
- SAREsystem UID: Your SARE account ID.
- SARESystem API Key: the “new REST API” key available in the SARE system under Advanced → API → REST API (Note: You need to generate a new key for the new Rest API using the button at the bottom of the page: ADD API KEY)
- SARESystem group for customers: groups to which email addresses from customers will be forwarded
- SARESystem group for newsletter: groups to which email addresses of users subscribed to the newsletter will be forwarded
Please note that groups should be created in the system beforehand! After making all changes, remember to save the configuration.
Data Update
Once the systems have been successfully integrated, the next step is feature mapping. The SARE system offers default features and extended features. All mapped features are sent when a customer account is created and updated. If the features do not have an assignment, they are not sent.
