Update mailing template – a simple editor

We want to make using our editor easy and enjoyable. That’s why we’ve prepared some tips for you that will help you easily make changes to the content of our templates, while preserving their original formatting.

Content change

To change the content, simply type or paste the text into the desired place in the template. Remember to paste unformatted text, preferably copied from a notepad, with no extra blank lines. If you want to keep the current formatting, you can select the text, leaving the first and last letter, and then type or paste the new content.

Alternatively, if you prefer to edit in the HTML code, you can find the selected piece of text directly in the code and make the conversion to new content.

If you need to split the text into two lines or create a new paragraph, you can use the Shift+Enter key combination. This will create a new line in the editor, and the text will not be further formatted. Instead, a transition tag to a new line (
) will appear in the HTML code. If, on the other hand, you want to create a new paragraph in the HTML code, use the “Enter” button. The new paragraph will be created with the tag

. Such a newly created section will require separate text ostyling.

Changing text formatting

To format the selected part of the text, place the cursor in the appropriate place and select the corresponding marker from the visible tool panel.

If you want to change the formatting of only a part of the continuous text, for example, a single word that has not yet been extracted with a tag, select the section you are interested in and go to edit CSS styles. In the edit window, select the appropriate values, then check the option “insert span element at the place of selection” and confirm the changes.

Now you can make changes to the style of the selected part of the text by clicking on the span element directly from the tool panel.

Changing graphics

To make a graphic change, make sure you prepare it properly. The size of the graphic should be identical to the one displayed in the mailing. For example, if the template has a graphic that is 600 pixels wide, the graphic file should also be the same width.

To insert or edit an image, select the appropriate place in the template and choose “Insert/Edit Image.” Then browse the files on your computer and select the graphic you want to insert into the template. After selecting the appropriate file, go to the “Appearance” tab and adjust the style parameters of the graphic.

If you are creating a responsive mailing, make sure that the graphics are properly adapted to this type of mailing.

For regular mailings, fill in the appropriate graphic sizes.
