A message preheader is an extremely important, albeit short, content that appears next to the message subject line in selected email programs, such as Gmail. It is used as an additional incentive for the recipient to read the message, emphasizing its attractiveness. In the SARE system, you can set the preheader at two stages: when creating the message and directly in the sending process. Remember to add a preheader to each message – it’s simple, and it greatly increases the effectiveness of your communication.
Configure the preheader at the message creation stage
When creating and saving a message in the SARE system, you can set a preheader field. When you select the “save” option, the system will display a form with basic fields, such as name and description. In addition, the system offers optional fields that, when filled in, are used as default values when scheduling a mailing. Such fields include sender information, message subject and preheader. Use this option to plan the most important elements of your message already at this stage.
Editing the headers of a saved message
A message stored in the system can be edited at any time. Elements such as the message name, description and created header are available for editing. With this feature, you can customize a message saved in “working” or “ready”, but not yet sent, to suit your current needs. By selecting the appropriate icon, you can also edit the header with the preheader. After making changes, be sure to click “save” to approve them.
Preheader configuration at the shipping stage
The preheader is also used in the shipping process. In the first step of sending, in the “Additional settings” section, there is a field to fill it in. Depending on the selected message, this field can be automatically filled in with the content from the header of the saved message, or left blank. Regardless of whether the field is automatically filled in or left blank, you can edit it just before sending. Remember, however, that the preheader is limited to 100 characters.
