As a customer using the Hourly Sending service, you get the assurance that your messages will reach your recipients at their preferred time. The hour of dispatch is individually tailored for each email address, and the entire campaign runs for up to 24 hours. You decide what time the campaign starts, and optionally, you can also set an earlier end time.
Wondering what will happen to recipients who do not receive the message at the assigned time? Nothing simpler – they will be added to the last batch of mailings. Every hour, the system checks if there are addresses in the selected group that have the current time. The time at which the user opened the last messages or his declared preferences are key factors in selecting a dedicated hour.
Setting a dedicated time
Before scheduling a shipment, it is necessary to prepare the feature to which we will save the dedicated shipment time. You can do this in the Addresses → Base Structure tab. After creating the guild, you run SAREscript, which will determine the dedicated time.
Go to SAREscript → Run → Scripts → Set a dispatch hour. You need to define the time range that will be analyzed and the feature to which you will save the dedicated dispatch hour. Based on this information, the system will determine the optimal time to send for each recipient individually.
The shipping hour can also be completed at the import level. It will be added to the address just like, for example, first name or date of birth. The time field can also be added to the subscription form, you directly ask the recipient about their preferred time to receive messages.
Shipping planning
Once the hour of dedicated mailing is assigned, you can proceed to schedule it. Go to Mailing → Sending, select hourly shipping in the first step. In the third step of dispatch planning, define the start time of the dispatch.
If the address does not have a dedicated shipping time set in the attribute or the attribute is filled with incorrect values, the system will send a message to these recipients at the very end. You can also define the completion of the mailing at the specified time. For example, if you don’t want to send mails later than 9 pm, all recipients who should get the “later” message will be sent at the last hour of dispatch.
