The SARE system has an innovative mechanism that allows you to easily collect additional consents from recipients. With this solution, in conjunction with the standard database enrollment form, you can create and manage consent type fields. These special fields are in the form ofcheckboxes, and when a field is checked, the system automatically records the date of the event and the IP address of the person filling out the form. This not only allows you to store various types of consents from recipients, but also provides additional security, as the consent type feature can only be set via database enrollment forms.
Creating a new feature
To add a new consent type feature, simply go to Addresses → Database Structure. In the Add new feature section, enter a name for the feature and select the type of feature as consent. After clicking the Add New Feature button, the consent type feature will be successfully created and available in the system.
Use of a feature in a form
The consent type feature can be very useful when creating subscription or registration forms. To add this field to the form, follow the same steps as when adding other features, but with one difference – the system will automatically change the field type to a checkbox. It is important to choose the right field type, because only then will the consent type feature work correctly and allow recipients to give their consents in a simple and intuitive way.
Preview of data stored in the system
When filling out a form with a consent type trait, the value of this trait will automatically be supplemented with the date of the event and the IP address. Interestingly, on the system side, under the consent type trait field, there are two separate traits that store this additional information. This means you have full control over the consents you receive, while collecting important data for analytics or RODO / GDPR compliance purposes.
