In an ever-evolving world, ensuring the security and authenticity of e-mail communications is crucial. At SARE, we are committed to helping maintain the highest standards of email marketing practices among our users. With the updates made by Gmail and Yahoo mail, it is essential to implement certain authentication measures to make sure your email campaigns continue to reach your recipients without interruption.

Adding a DKIM record to the sender’s domains

One of the key requirements is to add a DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) record for each of the domains used in the “From” (From) email addresses. The DKIM record is a standard that allows recipients to verify that emails sent on their behalf are authentic and have not been altered during transmission.
For SARE users, you are required to add the following CNAME record for each domain:

m3._domainkey IN CNAME m3.dkim.sare.pl

SPF and DMARC configuration

Although SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) configuration is not required, it is worth considering their implementation as additional layers of security. Regardless of how DMARC is configured, once the DKIM record is added to a user’s domain according to the instructions above, SARE will be properly authenticated on that domain.
If you choose to add SARE to your domain’s SPF configuration, add the following record:

include:spf.enewsletter.pl

This will allow recipients to verify that messages sent through SARE are authentic and from a trusted source.

Summary

Implementation of these changes is necessary to maintain high email deliverability and protect against messages being marked as spam. Ensuring compliance with the new regulations is an important step in maintaining the effectiveness of your email marketing campaigns and building trust with your audience.
