Sending SMS via SMS gateway

If you need to send a single SMS message, here is a simple and easy-to-understand guide to help you do it. To get started, you need to go to SMS → SMS Gateway menu. Be sure there are funds in your SMS account to complete this activity.

To send an SMS message, you must first define the sender by selecting one of the available options. Then enter the content of the message. Remember that the content should be entered or pasted from a notepad and must not contain national characters. The system keeps you informed about the number of remaining characters to be used within one SMS message.

If your SMS is to consist of several parts, select the ‘allow multi-part SMS’ option. This will allow you to send a longer SMS message. Once you have entered the message content and recipient number, click the ‘send’ button.

Creating a new SMS message

If you want to create a new SMS message, you must first go to SMS → New. Make sure that there are funds available in your SMS account to complete this action. You can check this at the top of the page under “SMS account balance.” If there are insufficient funds, you can top up your account by clicking on the ‘top up account’ button.

Once you have enough funds to send an SMS message, define the sender by choosing from the available options, and then enter the message content. You can apply personalization to the content, for example, placing a discount code. To do this, in the Personalization box on the right, click the appropriate feature.

Once the content of the message has been entered, you can check for an error by sending a test SMS. After clicking ‘send’, you will be informed about the cost of processing this mailing. Next, select the group of recipients to whom you want to send the message.

For your SMS mailing, you can also define simple or advanced filters – SAREscript. This allows you to narrow down the group of recipients based on the value of the indicated characteristic, or make the SMS dispatch dependent on the results of the mailing.

Finally, define the shipment date by selecting from the available options: immediate – the shipment will be made immediately; immediately in the background – the shipment will be made within 60 seconds, after scheduling you can log out of the system; today at an hour – the shipment will be made at the indicated time; other date – the shipment will be made on the scheduled date.
