We offer a solution that significantly improves the effectiveness of email campaigns. Our A/B/X testing gives you the opportunity to compare different versions of a mailing or message title to decide which one will bring better results. It’s not just a tool, it’s the key to reaching your audience more effectively. It is implemented in the SARE system, which allows you to run tests on different parameters.
Items for use in A/B/X testing
Managing A/B/X testing is a simple process, but in order to do it, you need to prepare certain elements first. For this purpose, we propose SAREsystem, which allows you to test various creative elements, such as:
- Creation theme
- Layout of the creation
- Message sender
- Preheader
Within a single test, you can test multiple items in different configurations. The number of possible combinations depends on the SARE package you have. The system allows, at the final stage of planning A/B/X tests, to select the parameters that will be used to realize the final dispatch.
Preparation of A/B/X tests
Preparing a campaign with A/B/X testing is no different from planning a regular one-off mailing. The process consists of a few simple steps. After selecting the group to be mailed, select the “Create A/B/X test” option.
After this step, you will move to a place where you can select the parameters you want to test. You can choose a new creative, insert a new sender, a new subject line or a new preheader. Once you have made all the changes, click Next.
You will be taken to the second step, where you have two options:
- Add another A/B/X test – if you want to add another variant for testing, such as a third creative or a third theme.
- Move on to the implementation of A/B/X testing – if you have already used all the options you are interested in.
After selecting the option to proceed to the implementation of A/B/X testing, the shipping configurator appears. You can set here:
- The percentage of the base on which the tests will be implemented. For example, if you want to run tests on 10% of the total base, you should enter two times 5% for each test.
- The deadline for the implementation of the tests – launch immediately, at a certain time of the day or at another time.
- Add a dispatch to a campaign (new or existing); if you don’t, the system will create a campaign from that particular A/B/X dispatch on its own.
Once the tests are completed, the final dispatch can be launched manually from the dispatch panel or automatically, based on defined assumptions.
Principles of automatic implementation of A/B/X tests
The panel for configuring the automatic execution of the final shipment after A/B/X testing allows:
- Realization of shipment after a certain time, measured in hours.
- Realize the final shipment after meeting one of the conditions to be selected from the drop-down list.
- Selection of the version of the test to be implemented (optional, when testing both creation and theme).
- Determining which topic to choose.
Points 1. and 2. can appear together (suffix “and”) or interchangeably (suffix “or”), you can also use them separately. In the third point, we should choose the parameter to determine the “win” version based on what paramaters are tested – if the creative, we are interested in the CTR score, while if the sender or subject – the indicator responsible for openings, i.e. OR.
A/B/X testing is a powerful tool that allows you to tailor your email marketing strategy to the needs and preferences of your audience. Make the most of it to increase the effectiveness of your marketing efforts.
