SMTP in the SARE system – effective email communication

Have you ever dreamed of managing your email campaigns directly from your favorite email program? If so, our unique SMTP feature in SARE is the answer to your needs.

SMTP is the key to more convenient and efficient email communication. It allows you to carry out mailing campaigns directly from such email programs as Outlook, Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail. You no longer need to log into our system every time you want to conduct a mailing. What’s more, SMTP offers the possibility to send to a group of addresses stored in the SARE system or to a single email address, which you can enter manually in the addressee field in your email program.

How to configure SMTP in the SARE system?

Activating the SMTP function requires a two-step configuration, but it’s really easy. We’ll be happy to show you how to do it.

  • First, you need to add a new user. Choose Preferences → SMTP, enter a name and password, indicate the interface and the group to which the recipients’ addresses will be saved (in case of sending to single addresses).
  • During setup, we check the verification option. This way, your email program will ask you to enter a verification code before executing the mailing. Security first and foremost!
  • You will carry out the entire procedure quickly and efficiently with our detailed SMTP user configuration instructions, which you will receive from our consultant.

How to perform a shipment using SMTP?

We’ve looked at how easy you can set up SMTP, now let’s see how to use it:

  • If you want to carry out a mailing to a group(s) saved in the SARE system, you need to edit and save the SAREscript, available from your consultant. An email address will be generated in the preferences. Just enter the generated email address in the addressee field, and the system will start executing the mailing.
  • Sending to a single addressee is even simpler – just mark the SMTP user as the sender. This way, the email sent will not be saved on the SARE side (links will not be tracked).

It’s also easy to track the effects of your mailings. Reports on emails sent via SMTP can be seen under Reports → Transaction emails. These reports provide information on basic campaign and domain statistics. They give you full control over your email communications.
