How to send a mailing from the SARE system? – Step-by-step instructions

To send a mailing, go to the MAILING section in the left menu. There you will find options related to sending: SEND and SENT.

SENDING is used for newsletters and verification mailings. On the other hand, in the SUSPENDED section you will find information about scheduled dispatches and those that are in progress. You can cancel scheduled shipments by clicking on the “Cancel” option. By clicking on the date, you can modify it. In addition, in this section you can modify the parameters of the shipment by using the “Modify” option. The SUSPENDED section also shows scheduled A/B/X tests, recurring shipments and follow-up shipments.

Shipping A/B/X

A/B/X dispatch allows you to conduct dispatch tests on your target audience. The execution of the dispatch consists of several steps:

STEP 1: Prepare A/B/X tests

In this phase, proceed in the same way as when planning a standard newsletter. The selected newsletter and topic will be treated as the first set of tests.

STEP 2: Perform A/B/X tests

After selecting a group, check the “Perform A/B/X tests” option and click the “Create A/B/X tests” button.

STEP 3: Planning A/B/X tests

After clicking the “Create A/B/X tests” button, you will move to the first step of mailing planning. There, select the newsletter and complete the email header. Then you can add more A/B/X tests or schedule tests.

STEP 4: Splitting the base

You can divide the base by using the sliders or by entering a percentage. You can also preview the creations of the tested messages by clicking on the names of the newsletters under the base division sliders.

The test launch date can be selected immediately, today at a specific time, or at another date. The actual mailing, on the other hand, can be launched manually or automatically by setting conditions, such as the number of opens or clicks. You can select one or two conditions at the same time. After defining the criteria, click the “Next” button.

To select the best message, define on what basis the system should make the selection. You can choose the number of e-mails clicked by percentage (CTR) or the number of opens. Click the “Next” button to start testing. You can confirm or cancel the execution of the tests, including the scheduled mailing. SARE also offers a unique solution – Multivariate Tests, which allow you to simultaneously select an effective creative and an effective subject line.

Verification shipping

Verification mailing involves sending verification emails with a link to confirm your subscription. To do this, follow the instructions below:

Preparation of address database for verification mailing

Before sending verification emails, you must have ready a database of email addresses to which you want to send verification emails. Make sure that the address database is correct and up-to-date.

Creating a verification message

Go to the “MAILING” section and select “SEND.” Then click “Create a new newsletter” or select an existing newsletter that you want to use as a verification message. Complete the content of the message to include a link to confirm your subscription.

Verification dispatch settings

When creating a verification message, you can set special parameters for this mailing. For example, you can define how much time recipients have to confirm their subscription before they are automatically removed from the list. You can also decide whether you want to send subscription confirmation notifications to your email address or other recipients.

Sending verification emails

After preparing the address database and setting up the verification message, you can start sending. Click the “Send” or “Schedule sending” button if you want to send emails at a certain time.

Remember, the purpose of sending verification emails is to confirm the recipients’ subscription. Verification emails are sent to check whether recipients want to receive further messages from you. Only after recipients confirm their subscription can you send out regular newsletters and other information.

Keeping in mind your privacy and compliance policies, make sure that recipients have consented to receive messages from you and that they have the option to easily unsubscribe in the future.
