A/B/X SMS test management in SARE system

Thanks to the A/B/X testing functionality in the SARE system, you can now conduct precise research on the effectiveness of your SMS messages. This option gives you the opportunity to test different variants of messages on a selected target group, which will allow you to optimize the effectiveness of your campaigns.

How to implement A/B/X SMS testing

Conducting A/B/X testing at SARE is a process consisting of several steps. First, we prepare an initial message that will serve as a reference point for our tests. The process is identical to that of planning a standard SMS mailing. We give the selected message the status of first in the tests, enter the content and add a tagged link to the offer page. Based on this link, we will be able to track how many recipients decided to take advantage of our offer.

To proceed with the creation of further variants of the message, in the lower right corner of the page we click on the button add A/B/X tests. This will open another template for us to prepare another SMS message.

Creating test messages

When we move on to create another test message, the process is the same as when we created the first one. Remember, however, that for each new message we should also create a new, unique link to the offer page. Only in this way will we be able to accurately assess which variant of the message has brought the greatest benefit.

We then proceed to the third step, where we are presented with a breakdown of the base for the scheduled ABX tests. Automatically, 10% of the base is assigned to each test, and the remaining 70% is the target group for the final mailing. We can customize the base division using the sliders or by typing the percentage in the box.

Once the tests are scheduled, we can see the messages ready to be sent in the SMS scheduled tab. The tests select the most effective SMS version based on the highest CTR click-through rate, thanks to our link shortening tool.
